Most of the details about the Balloon Classic can be found at their website, but we’ve summarized the information most pertinent to parents below. The basic activities of this annual signature event include:
- Mass Ascension (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning, weather permitting)
- 98th Flying Training Squadron’s Wings of Blue Parachute Team (Saturday morning)
- Kids’ Fun Zone (climbing wall, bounce houses, trampoline, etc.) and Concessions stands (morning)
- Balloon Glo (Saturday and Sunday night, weather permitting)
The Colorado Balloon Classic also has these events and programs that are open to kids:
- Girl Scouts Hot Air Balloon Patch Program
- Coloring Contest (pdf)
- Photo Contest
- Kids can enter into the Junior category (15 and under) or the Adult category (16+)
