Science fun for your kids at Thursday’s Chick-fil-A Family Night
Once again, MyKidsWeek.com has lined up a fun night for you and your kids at two Chick-fil-A’s in Colorado Springs. Come for good food, a chance at valuable prizes, and cool science activities.
Our special guests Thursday night (yes, this Thursday) are our friends at Science Matters. They make science cool and interesting for kids wherever they go–in their lunchtime, assembly, and after-school programs at local elementary schools, their special community programs at libraries and local attractions (soon to include Chick-fil-A), and their uber-unique birthday parties.
Don’t miss these highlights:
- Science Matters’ famous slime table
- Build your own straw-paper airplane
- Science activity sheets (not fair to call them worksheets – too much fun)
- Free Icedream sundae with kids’ meal purchase
- Dance with the cow
- Drawing for valuable prizes – more fun activities and programs for your kids
Tell your friends. A great way to beat crazy weather, too.

Annual Sunset Beaver Hike at Fountain Creek Nature Center Never Disappoints
Tonight we escaped to one of our favorite local oases, as we enjoyed a quiet sunset walk around the lake at Fountain Creek Nature Center.
Our engaging and patient docent, Mr. Paul, said he sent the memo to the beavers that we were coming to visit. Apparently they got the memo, since we got to see them swimming along the glassy surface of the water. The rest of the visitors may have seen more of them – we left early to bring our tired boys home.
