Ukulele lessons are back! Swallow Hill Music presents the Ukulele Sing & Strum-a-Long at the Children's Museum of Denver. They'll bring the ukuleles and a few simple songs to teach the whole family. 

April is Planet Earth Month
There is so much to learn about our beautiful planet, we are celebrating Earth Day all month long! Join us as we discover all that makes our planet spectacular and what we can do to help keep it that way.

Afternoon Adventures
Mondays and Fridays at 2:30 p.m.
The Lorax
Celebrate the Earth with a special reading of Dr. Seuss' classic story, The Lorax. Come relive this illuminating tale of industry and the environment, then develop your own green thumb by planting your own "Truffula" seed! This program promotes science knowledge and skills and literacy knowledge and skills.

ARTS a la Carte
This activity is set up in our art center all day every day. 
Cloud Mobiles
Cirrus, cumulonimbus and stratus are just a few of the clouds that will be drifting through ARTS this month! Float in to make a weather-inspired cloud mobile. We'll provide the supplies for you to whip up puffy, wispy, rainy and foggy works of art. This activity promotes science knowledge and skills and creative arts expression.

Blooming Thanks
How can we give back to Mother Earth this spring? By turning our own homemade paper into thank you cards. Then, plant the paper and watch your garden grow all summer long! This program promotes creative arts expression, social studies knowledge and skills and science knowledge and skills.


Backyard Explorers
Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.
Beautiful Blossoms
Cherry blossoms have long been admired as a symbol of spring. Learn all about springtime and these famous flowers.  Plus, make your very own cherry blossoms to help bring in the season! This program promotes creative arts expression, science knowledge and skills, and social studies knowledge and skills.

Make Believe Matinee
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.
Litterbug
Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? At the Children's Museum you can be! Don't miss your chance to help save the planet from litterbugs by learning how to recycle, reduce and reuse. Our activity will help us remember how to keep our planet healthy and safe. This program promotes creative arts expression, physical development, logic and reasoning, and science knowledge and skills.


StoryTime
Daily at 11:30 a.m.
Imaginations run wild hearing stories of far-off lands, wacky characters, friendships, and fairytales. Each one has a theme with exciting stories and a fun activity, craft or song. This program promotes literacy knowledge and skills and creative arts expression.

Super Science Sunday

Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
Earth Rangers
Mother Earth needs YOU! Come learn how to help our environment while making a mini-ecosystem from recycled materials. This terrarium is for your little Earth Ranger to take home, nurture and watch grow! This program promotes creative arts expression, social studies knowledge and skills, and science knowledge and skills.

ToddlerTime
Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Nature Walk 
Discover the wonder and beauty in the world around us! We'll make some very special binoculars to help us observe the natural world, and then head outdoors on a nature scavenger hunt to explore and play! This program promotes science process skills, observation and classification.
