Spring Break with a Burro!
Western Museum of Mining and Industry
Fri., March 30, 2012
Cost: regular admission applies
Take a short trip to a long time back!
Starting at 10:00 am, or again at 1:00 pm in the afternoon, your group will tour the Museum to pan for gold and learn about gold prospecting. Afterward, you'll get to meet "Nugget," our burro mascot, and rub him between the ears! Then, since you know all about this amazing history, your group can shop in our pretend "Old West General Store" to purchase the supplies and equipment you'd take on an imaginary gold prospecting journey. (Don't tell the kids because its Spring Break, but this is a terrific, cross-curriculum, interactive educational experience!)
