Swallow Hill Music presents the Ukulele Sing & Strum-a-Long at the Children's Museum of Denver. They'll bring the ukuleles and a few simple songs to teach the whole family. Activities included with Museum admission and instruments are provided. 


Just Add Water is now open!*
Just Add Water is an innovative outdoor summer exhibit full of swirling, whirling, geyser-filled adventures. Explore the wildly unpredictable elements of water as you pump, channel, pour, sprinkle, divert and paint in The Geyser, Water Works, Whirlpools and Fountains and the Blank Slate Gallery. All Just Add Wateractivities are included with Museum admission. Experiences are weather permitting.

July is Stellar Science Month
Dust off your lab coats and experiment, invent and investigate! In each of our programs in July we are learning how science is everywhere.


Afternoon Adventures – Fantastic Fossils
Mondays and Fridays at 2:30 p.m.
What is a fossil? How did it get in the ground? Learn all about these preserved remains and make your own fossil imprint. This program promotes physical development and science knowledge.

 

ARTS a la Carte – Rainbow Connection
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Have you ever wondered what's at the end of a rainbow, why rainbow colors stay in the same order or what makes a double rainbow? Learn the answers as we explore the science of these magical pictures in the sky. We will also make rainbow sun catchers to bring the colors inside your home. This program promotes creative arts expression, science knowledge and skills, and physical development and health.

 

Backyard Explorers – Rockin' Rocks
Wednesdays and Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.
What are rocks? What are they made of? Where do they come from? We will investigate rocks and minerals to answer these questions, then stick around to make your own pretend rock! This program promotes science knowledge and skills, and logic and reasoning.

 

Make Believe Matinee – Mad Magic
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.
Abracadabra! Explore the world of science and discover the magic behind the curtain with Mad Martin. You'll become a magician yourself as we learn the science behind those old tricks of the trade! This program promotes creative arts expression, logic and reasoning, science knowledge and skills, and initiative and curiosity.

 

Super Science Sunday – Solar S 'mores
Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
Leave the campfire behind, we're converting to solar power! Using the sun's energy, we will make solar ovens to bake s 'mores. Come learn about this renewable energy and enjoy a gooey treat. This program promotes science knowledge and skills, physical development and health, logic and reasoning, and social studies knowledge and skills. 

 

Toddler Time – I Like to Move it, Move it!
Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
We're going on a scientific adventure! Young tots will love rolling, touching, pushing, pulling and dragging various objects over unique textures and surfaces, and their sense of wonder will grow with each new experience. This program promotes social and emotional development, language development, logic and reasoning, science knowledge and skills, and motor skills.
