Events Offered: The park and Visitor Center offers several special events throughout the year.

Anytime Activity Ideas: Hiking, picnics, horseback riding, biking, guided walks, rock climing.

We have at least two nature walks a day, 10 am and 2 pm. (there are often additional walks at other times but they vary by day). We also have presentations (nature talks) that vary by day. People may call, 634-6666 x0, to find out more detailed information for that week.

Programs Offered: Park Plus Programs are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays, September through May. Reservations are required. Call 719-219-0108 for reservations. Cost is $2.00 per student.
Geology of the Garden of the Gods Park (Grades 3-6).
Meet the Park (Grades K-3).

Jr. Rangers program for ages 7 to 12.
Available year-round. Self-guided and hands-on; $2 handbook guides youth through activities and exercises to learn about the geology, history and ecology of this local treasure. Upon completion and review with Park naturalist, celebrate with a patch and certificate, documenting this achievement. Visit gardenofgods.com for more information.

Self-guided outdoor educational program includes a theater program and an outdoor hunt. Call 719-219-0108. Reservations are required. Cost is $1 per child.

Summer evening program: Bat Walk 6:30pm-9:00pm on Tuesdays, June-August. Reservations are required. Call 719-219-0108.

Summer evening program: Prairie Falcon Walk 5:00 pm on Wednesdays, June-July. Reservations not required. Meet at main parking lot trailhead. In July, call ahead to make sure the birds are ready.
