Just like our favorite comfort foods, original art brings us comfort, pleasure and lifts our spirits.Cottonwood Center for the Arts embraces this idea with its multi-cultural, multi-media, inclusive center of creativity and its unique offerings of instructional programs, individual artist studio spaces, and gallery spaces. It serves the community by providing access to fine art through education, offering monthly gallery shows, promoting personal relationships with artists, and making art available and affordable. Three core elements comprise the essence of CCA - Cottonwood Artists' School, its galleries and nearly 80 studio spaces.

Events Offered: Cottonwood Center for the Arts (CCA) grand opening heralds a new era for the local fine arts scene. The two-day event starts Friday, April 24th from 6:30 - 9 p.m. and runs through Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

Programs Offered: Classes for adults and teens:
Cottonwood Artists' School offers weekly classes in oil painting, drawing, watercolor, fine art collage, and sculpture for adults and teens with an emphasis on traditional methods. These courses give students a firm foundation in all of the elements of visual art. Many of these course are accredited through University of Colorado - Colorado Springs.
Weekly classes run for eight-weeks and are offered several times a year. These classes are for the serious emerging artist as well as for the beginner who has a passion for art.

Services Offered: Nearly 80 affordable studio spaces are available for private or group artists, pottery makers, and print makers.

CCA maintains two art galleries for short- and long-term display of art treasures and provides a focal point for local promotion of fine art.
