Introducing the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens!

Two of my sons, ages 9 and 12, have added the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens to their Bible time. The journal, from Spiritual Circle Journal, has helped them keep track of what they are learning through the Bible. It is also helping them learn to pray and to listen to what Jesus is saying to them. It is amazing!

Our family is so thankful for the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens! This tool is helping my children make a habit of talking to Jesus about their lives.

Prayer is the most important part of our day. We need to learn to listen to what Jesus is telling us. This resource is helping my boys do just that!

The Spiritual Circle Journal is more that just a prayer journal. It is a tool for kids to see how God is working in their lives!

What is the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens?

The Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens is set up to help children and teens deepen their relationship with Jesus through prayer and listening to Him speak. It is recommended for children 8 years and up.

The journal pages are set up in a fun way with 9 picture shapes in which to write your thoughts. Each picture has a theme to help get kids thinking such as “God Moving,” “Thank you/Adoration,” and “Lesson Learned Light-Bulb Moment.” These pictures have helped to focus my sons’ thoughts so they can record what is going on in their day, what they are learning about God, and how He is involved in their lives.

The journal includes three pages for parents, teachers, and ministry leaders to teach us how we can best guide our children and students in using the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens. I really liked this guide because it includes ways for me to introduce the journal to my boys, how to incorporate their learning styles into their prayer time, ways to customize their journal time to meet their needs, and much more.

The last few pages of the journal are Summary Pages. Here, kids can keep track of the most important or biggest lessons they are learning, favorite verses, God moving in their life stories, and character traits of Bible characters they want to remember.

How did our family use the Spiritual Circle Journal for Kids and Teens?

My sons and I love how the journal is set up to give them some structure in their prayers, yet it also gives them the freedom to enjoy their time with God through journaling and decorating the book to personalize it.

We started out by using one journal page each week. My boys filled out all the journaling pictures during two days. The other three days we would pray and spend time listening to what God was saying. After a couple weeks of that routine, we switched it up. Now my boys are focusing on filling in two or three pictures and praying about them each day. They can fill in any pictures they want depending on what God is saying to them that day. My sons are enjoying the freedom to write as much or as little as they want. And this routine encourages them to stop, think, and listen to God.

Really, what more could a mom want?

  • My sons are learning how to express themselves to Jesus and listen as He speaks to them.
  • They are learning to apply to their lives what they are hearing during Bible time.
  • They are taking the time to stop their day and focus on Jesus.
  • They are forming the habit of praying about what is going on in their day, their hearts, and the world.

This is truly an amazing resource for helping kids learn to pray to Jesus and listen to what He is saying to them!

There are 65 pages in the Spiritual Circle Journal. By filling out one page each week, my sons will have a written record of how God has taught them and answered prayers for over a year. Wow!

Experiment with the pages and pictures. See how the Spiritual Circle Journal can work in your family. It will be so worth it!
